Bang! — the voice-first overlay agent

Say it out loud. Bang ships it.

Bang floats above every app on your Mac as a single puck. Talk to it hands-free and it runs the commands, edits the files, opens your app in a real browser to check its own work — then tells you out loud the moment something breaks.

No spam. Just your invite when it's ready.

Runs on OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, or any OpenAI-compatible endpoint — Ollama, vLLM, or your own gateway.

Hands on the coffee. Not the keyboard.

Bang isn't a chat window you type into. It's an agent that listens, acts on your machine, watches what it built, and speaks up on its own.

🎙️

Fully hands-free

Start talking and Bang transcribes as you go, notices when you've finished your thought, and sends it. No push-to-talk, no wake word, no window to focus first.

🔊

It answers out loud

Replies are read back to you, so you can keep your eyes on your editor. Echo cancellation means you can cut it off mid-sentence — and it stops, listens, and picks up your new instruction.

🚨

It tells you when you break something

A chip beside the composer shows whether your dev server is up or has crashed — and it stays there after the turn ends, because your server does. If your build dies, Bang says so unprompted instead of waiting to be asked.

🔍

It checks its own work

Ask if something works and Bang opens the page in a real browser: uncaught exceptions, console errors, requests that 404'd, and — on a vision model — a screenshot it actually looks at. "It's running" becomes "it loads, but there's a TypeError in app.js."

🛠️

Real tools, not suggestions

Shell commands, file edits, greps, dependency installs, long-running dev servers it can check back on later — and it can answer a CLI's y/n prompt while a process is still running.

🌐

Domain to deployed

Connect your own Cloudflare account and Bang can find an available domain, register it, point DNS at your site, and deploy it — end to end, in one conversation.

✏️

Point at your screen

Draw straight onto the display to show Bang what you mean. Circle the broken button instead of describing where it is.

🧩

Plugged into your stack

Connect MCP servers — Linear, Google Workspace, Cloudflare, your own — and Bang uses them as tools. One click to connect, no config files to hand-edit.

🧠

Plans before it builds

Ask for something big and Bang researches first, writes a plan you can approve, then works the checklist — delegating focused sub-tasks to subagents so the main thread stays on track.

It asks before it spends.

An agent with a voice interface and real credentials needs hard stops, not vibes. Anything irreversible pauses and waits for a human — in the app and in the overlay.

  • Registering a domain shows the exact name and price before a cent moves
  • Installing a dependency shows the exact command it wants to run
  • Nothing touches your machine or your card without an explicit Approve
  • Say “cancel” and the turn stops there

Your models. Your rules.

Frontier APIs when you want the best answer. Self-hosted models when you need privacy, cost control, or offline. Switch mid-conversation — Bang doesn't lock you in, and its backend is yours to run.

  • Hosted: OpenAI, Anthropic, Google
  • Self-hosted: Ollama, vLLM, and any OpenAI-compatible server
  • Speech-to-text can run entirely on your Mac — your voice never leaves it
  • Self-host the whole harness and keep every conversation on your servers

Three steps, none of them typing

1

Talk

Say what you want in plain language. The puck is always there, over whatever app you're in.

2

Approve

Bang plans, then shows you anything that spends money, installs software, or can't be undone.

3

Listen

It works, checks the result in a real browser, and reports back out loud — including the parts that broke.
